Job Summary:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Nutrition Counselor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nutrition and dietetics and a passion for helping individuals achieve their health and wellness goals through personalized nutrition plans and counseling.
Responsibilities:
- Assess the nutritional and health needs of clients
- Develop and implement personalized nutrition plans based on individual health goals and dietary requirements
- Provide one-on-one nutrition counseling sessions, offering practical advice and support
- Educate clients on healthy eating habits, food choices, and lifestyle changes
- Monitor and evaluate client progress, making adjustments to nutrition plans as needed
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and other professionals to support client health and wellness
- Conduct workshops and seminars on nutrition and health topics for groups and communities
- Stay updated with the latest research and developments in nutrition science
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field; Registered Dietitian (RD) credential preferred
- Minimum of 6 months experience in nutrition counseling or a related role
- Strong knowledge of nutrition science and dietary guidelines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to build rapport and maintain positive relationships with clients
- Compassionate and patient-centered approach
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Proficiency in using nutrition counseling software and tools
