What You’ll Do

The primary responsibility of the NPI Engineer is to develop, execute and develop a plan for STP, NPI or any PROLaunch based projects. This is achieved through a timely collaboration by the NPI Engineer to the relevant & required functions that will make sure the plans will be met on time and within projected cost. Periodic reviews are required to make sure progress is monitored and stake holders are well informed. Identify risks of the project at early stage and institute mitigating actions. Continuously improve the processes by collecting, documenting and implementing lessons learned across the projects.

  • Leading and managing the development and introduction of new and transfer products.
  • Coordinating cross-functional teams, including engineering, quality, supply chain, finance and others.
  • Working and coordinating with third parties (including contractors) and stakeholders.
  • Setting project timelines and budgets using PROLaunch tools and guidance.
  • Communicating with stakeholders and management to provide updates on the progress of the project.
  • Conducting risk assessments and developing contingency plans.
  • Managing the launch of the product thru close coordination with project stakeholders and counterparts.
  • Manage product or component readiness.
  • Improve the processes or outcome of each project by collecting documenting & implementing lessons learned.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering discipline or equivalent (Electronics/ Electrical, Supply Chain Management).
  • At least 3 years’ experience as an Engineer (manufacturing process engineering, product development or project engineering).


Skills

  • Experience in start-up environment is preferred. Work from EMS or equivalent to manufacturing set-up is an advantage.
  • Able to understand product specifications of components and materials.
  • Knowledgeable in SPC, DOE, FMEA, APQP/PPAP process and machine process capability study.
  • With good coordination skills to work with and able to handle multiple projects.
  • Above average written, verbal and computer skills.
