Summary

This is a full-time remote role for a Network Engineer at HD IT. The Network Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as network administration, troubleshooting, network security, and network design to ensure the smooth operation of IT systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and maintain the network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure that the network can support the organization's needs.
• Conduct network assessments, identify issues, and develop solutions to improve network performance and availability.
• Provide guidance and support to other IT team members on network-related issues and other technology issues.
• Manage network security by implementing best practices, monitoring network activity, and recommending and implementing security measures.
• Configuring and installing various network devices and services (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN)
• Provide project support as required to deliver projects across multiple clients
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies.
• Document network configurations, processes, and procedures.
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Networking, or related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in network design, implementation, and support.
• Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or similar
• Knowledge of networking protocols and technologies.
• Experience with network equipment from multiple vendors.
• Understanding of network security principles and technologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Strong English verbal and written communication.
  
  

This position is a full time contract role with possibility for renewal.

Schedule: Monday – Friday (9:00 AM - 5:30 PM AEST)
