Responsible For

As the Marketing Manager, Content, you will play a crucial role in refining and optimising demand capture strategies by developing and implementing targeted content marketing campaigns.

You will focus on creating compelling content that attracts and engages prospects at different stages of the buyer's journey, ultimately increasing lead quality and driving conversions.

This position requires a creative and strategic individual with a strong understanding of B2B content strategy, SEO, and audience engagement, capable of translating marketing objectives into effective content initiatives.

Main Activities And Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive content marketing strategy aligned with the Marketing objectives, focusing on lead quality and conversion speed.
  • Create, manage, and optimise high-quality, engaging content (e.g., posts, educational, success stories, case studies, website copy, social media content, email campaigns) tailored to different stages of the buyer's journey.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, design teams, and other Marketing functions to produce relevant and impactful content.
  • Ensure all content is SEO-optimised and aligned with brand voice, style, and messaging guidelines.
  • Analyse content performance using relevant metrics and data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to identify areas for improvement and optimise content strategies.
  • Manage the content calendar and ensure timely delivery of content assets.
  • Utilise marketing automation tools to effectively distribute content, nurture leads, and track content's contribution to conversions.
  • Stay up-to-date with content marketing trends, best practices, and new technologies.

  • Strong understanding of B2B content marketing principles, buyer personas, and journey mapping.
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic content plans that drive engagement and conversions.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills with high attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and optimize content performance.
  • Proficiency in content management systems (CMS) and marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot).
  • Understanding of SEO best practices and keyword research.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a strong focus on audience experience.
  • Agile and adaptable to changing market conditions and priorities.

Key Skills And Capabilities

  • Proven experience in B2B content strategy, creation, and management, preferably in technology or outsourcing sectors.
  • Expertise in various content formats and distribution channels.
  • Experience with data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and content performance metrics.
  • Strong project management skills to manage multiple content initiatives simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Understanding of lead nurturing and marketing funnel management.

Qualifications And Typical Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in content marketing, preferably within B2B technology or services sectors.
  • Proven track record of creating successful content marketing campaigns that contribute to lead generation and conversion goals.
  • Experience with marketing automation and CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Portfolio showcasing writing skills and successful content projects.

  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of content strategy goals.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • High level of adaptability to manage change and work in a fast-paced environment.
