Job Responsibilities

  • *Oversees the Operations*
  • Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes. Identify potential suppliers, conduct market research, and evaluate vendor capabilities. Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Supplier Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers. Monitor supplier performance and address any issues or concerns promptly. Conduct regular supplier evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery schedules.
  • Cost Management: Analyze pricing trends, market conditions, and supply chain risks to minimize costs. Implement cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvements. Work closely with finance and accounting teams to track purchasing expenses and budgets.
  • Inventory Control: Collaborate with inventory management teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess inventory. Ensure accurate forecasting of demand to prevent stockouts and overstock situations. Implement inventory control measures to reduce carrying costs and improve cash flow.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies. Mitigate procurement-related risks through effective contract management and supplier due diligence. Stay updated on industry best practices and regulatory changes impacting purchasing activities.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Coordinate with various departments, including production, logistics, and quality assurance, to meet procurement requirements. Works with Business units on regular quality check for customized items of the property. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to understand their needs and priorities. Participate in cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and achieve organizational goals.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Provide leadership and guidance to the purchasing team, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence. Mentor and develop purchasing staff, providing training and opportunities for professional growth. Promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that values diversity and teamwork.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
  • Solid understanding of procurement best practices and industry trends.
  • Knowledge of international trade regulations and import/export procedures.
  • Certification in procurement (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) is a plus.
