Responsibilities: As the Director of Competitive and Market Research, you will be pivotal in advancing our understanding of the competitive landscape within the Commodity Insights sector. Your deep expertise will drive the development of comprehensive competitive research initiatives specific to this industry. Key responsibilities include:
- Designing and implementing competitive research frameworks that are tailored to the unique needs of Commodity Insights.
- Developing and managing dashboards to provide actionable insights and visualization of market trends and competitive dynamics.
- Introducing and leveraging modern technology tools to innovate research practices within the organization.
- Collaborating with stakeholders to deliver detailed insights on customer and prospect personas, sectors, geographies, and markets of interest within Commodity Insights.
- Building strong stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment with research goals and deliverables.
- Formulating a long-term strategic vision for the growth and development of your team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and success.
- Manage and mentor a team of researchers to gather and analyze detailed information on markets, geographies, sectors, and customer personas.
- Aggregate and communicate existing information that is not well known across Commodity Insights, developing a discovery process to enhance awareness.
- Establish and implement effective communication processes to ensure insights reach and engage the intended audience.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to translate research findings into strategic recommendations.
- Report directly to the Head of Brand and Product Solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- At least 5 years of experience in competitive market research.
- Experience in managing, leading, and growing a team.
- Demonstrated ability in developing and deploying competitive research methodologies and dashboards.
- Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with proficiency in communicating complex insights succinctly and effectively.
- Experience in working within an international context, managing collaboration across time zones and diverse geographical regions.
- A strategic thinker with the capacity to design and implement a long-term vision for team success and organizational growth.
