Job Summary
- Primarily responsible for providing macroeconomic analysis to support activities and budget targets of the Global Macro and Investments Credit Division and Asset Portfolio Management Segment (APMS).
- Evaluate and monitor specific country trends, monetary policies, geopolitical events and economic risks in Developed (DM) and Emerging Markets (EM).
- Collaborate with traders, analysts, Department Head, Division Head and the Segment Head in identifying trading or investment opportunities in assigned markets
- Conducts research to gather pertinent information on a macroeconomic level via:
- ? Accessible electronic media (Bloomberg and Internet)
- ? Resource persons such as research analysts, economists or strategists at major financial institutions, independent research organizations, and ratings agencies
- ? Attending economic seminars and forums
- Monitors macroeconomic profiles of assigned investment exposures including factors that would affect the viability of each exposure and provides relevant updates of the same to the traders, analysts, Department Head, Division Head and the Segment Head
- Purchases and sells financial market instruments if directed by the Department Head, Division Head, Segment Head and/or Treasurer.
- Remains aware of the bank’s policies on Anti Money Laundering and ensures compliance with these policies.
- Fresh graduates of any business course
- Preferably a Certified Treasury Professional
- Strong research and analytical skills
