We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Logistics Support to join our team! This remote position plays a crucial role in optimizing delivery routes, coordinating logistics operations, and ensuring efficient product distribution to our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily routing tasks, supporting our logistics network, and driving improvements to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing costs. Key Responsibilities:
Routing & Delivery Optimization:
- Plan, schedule, and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries across multiple regions.
- Utilize routing software and systems to streamline delivery processes and reduce transportation costs.
- Adjust delivery plans based on real-time conditions, including traffic, weather, and vehicle availability.
Logistics Support
- Act as the primary point of contact for store teams and drivers, providing support to resolve delivery and routing issues.
- Coordinate with warehouse teams to ensure the timely dispatch of products and efficient load management.
- Monitor delivery performance and address any discrepancies or delays to maintain customer satisfaction.
Communication & Coordination
- Communicate proactively with customers regarding delivery times, changes, and any potential delays.
- Work closely with the Regional Logistics Manager and store managers to align logistics strategies with business needs.
- Collaborate with the IT team to implement system improvements for enhanced logistics and routing efficiency.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Track and analyze key logistics metrics, including delivery times, fuel efficiency, and vehicle utilization.
- Prepare regular reports on routing performance, identifying areas for cost savings and process enhancements.
- Provide insights and recommendations to improve overall logistics operations and customer experience.
Key Skills & Qualifications:
Experience
- Previous experience in logistics coordination, route planning, or dispatching, preferably in a retail or e-commerce environment.
- Familiarity with routing software, GPS systems, and logistics management tools.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on optimizing operations and reducing costs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently.
Technical Proficiency
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and logistics software.
- Comfortable working in a remote environment with reliable internet connectivity.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in the furniture or retail industry.
• Knowledge of furniture or retail industry product lines and delivery processes.
• Understanding of New Zealand's geographical landscape and regional logistics challenges.
