About the Unit:
Last Mile Unit focuses on the final stage of delivery, where goods get from a distribution center directly to the customer's doorstep - ensuring a smooth and positive experience for the end customer. This Unit also tackles challenges like efficient routing in dense areas, on-time deliveries, and customer satisfaction. a
About the role:
The Area Manager shall support the Regional Station Manager on on-ground project management for fleet expansion and launching expansion ensuring sufficient resources and operability within the set target timeline. The Area Manager shall manage hub operations within assigned areas by meeting the desired hub health and promptly resolving operational gaps or problems and ensure that all hubs under his/her care are aligned and compliant with company protocols, strategies and directives
Duties and Responsibilities:
A. Station Launch
1. Monitor the Station Head’s progress against timelines in opening hubs
2. Equip the station with operating equipment and supplies, such as printer, parcel scanner, etc.
3. Monitor the screening and hiring of delivery riders in the stations covered
4. Prepare report on station launch updates to the Head of National Expansion/Fleet
B. Station Operations Supervision
1. Conduct random audits across all stations under his care, to determine and address operational gaps, if there is any.
2. Monitor the performance metrics (ie. SLA adherence, CMI rate) of each station; provide insights and intervene, when necessary, to sustain and improve the performance metrics of the station.
3. Ensure that all Station Heads are compliant with finance-related protocols such as, but not limited to, the use of company resources and management of funds assigned to the station. Station expenses shall be thoroughly checked and endorsed for approval/disapproval on a regular basis to ensure good cash flow and to prevent or catch fraud.
4. Pay regular visits to stations to ensure visibility and leadership presence among Station Heads
5. Provide expertise in station operations and be the resource person on matters related to station management, operating capacity and compliance.
6. Ensure timely escalation of station issues, when necessary, in order for senior management to act without due delay on the provision of solutions.
