The Fin Solutions Group Manager is accountable for management of complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas. Leads and directs a team of professionals. Requires a comprehensive understanding of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the objectives of the function. Applies in-depth understanding of the business impact of technical contributions. Strong commercial awareness is a necessity. Generally accountable for delivery of a full range of services to one or more businesses/ geographic regions. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Some external communication may be necessary. Accountable for the end results of an area. Exercises control over resources, policy formulation and planning. Primarily affects a sub-function. Involved in short- to medium-term planning of actions and resources for own area. Full management responsibility of a team or multiple teams, including management of people, budget and planning, to include performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary actions and terminations and budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Role involves facilitating Automation of the Local Regulatory Reports in Strategic Reporting Platform as part of Finance Automation strategy for Cluster countries in Asia North / South and AU/NZ.
  • Execute the implementation of reports as per the Book of work schedule.
  • Engage with various stakeholders in execution of delivery as per the prescribed / stipulated timelines for Go live.
  • Maintain overall control/governance of Automation Program implementation
  • Leading, tracking and driving the progress of the requirements work stream of the program.
  • Organizing and leading regular discussions with the relevant business, finance, technology and operational groups as required by the work stream of the program
  • Be a change agent, ensure compliance to Change management framework with respect to Go Live requirements and meet the audit governance standards by fostering a strong Risk & Control culture and environment.
  • Working closely with LRR Country Finance team & assist in the creation of presentations to the program Steering Committees and other governance committees for reporting project progress and escalating issues;
  • Involve in the budgeting cycle /planning process to set book of work for ensuing year by engaging with technology / country teams and other stakeholders to determine the appropriate Book of work for automation ; plan the staffing and deployment of resources.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, within the financial services industry highly preferred
  • Understanding of the Local Regulatory Reporting extremely beneficial
  • Hands on Project Management experience to deliver project implementation
  • Requires a comprehensive knowledge of multiple areas within a function and how they interact in order to achieve the goals of the function.
  • Requires communication and persuasive skills in order to guide and influence others.
  • Experience and demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities in a complex and dynamic environment
  • Self-motivated with the ability to make decisions in the absence of detailed instructions.
  • Proficient Microsoft Office skills
  • In depth knowledge of banking products / systems highly preferred.

Education:

  • Bachelors degree, potentially Masters degree
  • CPA preferred

KEY COMPETENCIES / SKILLS

  • Bachelor Degree in Accountancy or equivalent, Chartered Accountant or CPA / MBA - Finance preferred
  • 10+ years of relevant experience,
  • Understanding of Local Regulatory landscape of APAC countries.
  • Project management experience within Finance function would be desirable;
