The Legal Manager - Real Estate and Properties will be responsible for overseeing and managing the legal aspects related to the Company’s real estate and property portfolio.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Must be a lawyer.
- Must be a licensed Real Estate Broker (REB).
- At least three (3) years of experience in legal roles, preferably with a focus on property law, real estate transactions, and property development.
- Proven experience in managing property-related legal issues, including litigation and contract negotiation.
- Experience working with major law firms or leading real estate companies is highly advantageous.
- Strong understanding of property law, real estate regulations, and zoning laws.
- Proficiency in drafting and negotiating property-related contracts.
- Familiarity with risk management in property transactions.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Property Acquisition and Disposition: conduct feasibility studies to identify sound investment opportunities; oversee the acquisition, sale or exchange of real estate assets.
- Transaction Management: review, draft and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, leases and other legal documents related to real estate transactions; conduct due diligence to identity potential legal issues; navigate zoning regulations, land use planning and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Asset Management: develop and implement property management strategies to optimize property value; coordinate maintenance, repairs and renovations as needed.
- Compliance & Reporting: ensure the Group’s compliance with all real estate laws and regulations; prepare and submit regular reports to the Board and Management.
- Environmental Sustainability: monitor compliance in line with the Group’s sustainability goals and framework; work closely with Top Management and key stakeholders in addressing noncompliance and developing a sustainability-oriented approach to business operations.
- Innovations, Industry Standards, and Initiatives: stay current with industry best practices and emerging sustainability trends; coordinate activities and efforts in capability building and sustainability projects and programs.
- External Relations: effectively represents the company and is interested in cultivating and managing relations and partnerships with external stakeholders, i.e. government, corporate partners, communities, and the general public.
