The Legal Manager - Real Estate and Properties will be responsible for overseeing and managing the legal aspects related to the Company’s real estate and property portfolio.

Qualifications and Skills:

  1. Must be a lawyer.
  2. Must be a licensed Real Estate Broker (REB).
  3. At least three (3) years of experience in legal roles, preferably with a focus on property law, real estate transactions, and property development.
  4. Proven experience in managing property-related legal issues, including litigation and contract negotiation.
  5. Experience working with major law firms or leading real estate companies is highly advantageous.
  6. Strong understanding of property law, real estate regulations, and zoning laws.
  7. Proficiency in drafting and negotiating property-related contracts.
  8. Familiarity with risk management in property transactions.
  9. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  10. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Property Acquisition and Disposition: conduct feasibility studies to identify sound investment opportunities; oversee the acquisition, sale or exchange of real estate assets.
  2. Transaction Management: review, draft and negotiate contracts, purchase agreements, leases and other legal documents related to real estate transactions; conduct due diligence to identity potential legal issues; navigate zoning regulations, land use planning and regulatory compliance requirements.
  3. Asset Management: develop and implement property management strategies to optimize property value; coordinate maintenance, repairs and renovations as needed.
  4. Compliance & Reporting: ensure the Group’s compliance with all real estate laws and regulations; prepare and submit regular reports to the Board and Management.
  5. Environmental Sustainability: monitor compliance in line with the Group’s sustainability goals and framework; work closely with Top Management and key stakeholders in addressing noncompliance and developing a sustainability-oriented approach to business operations.
  6. Innovations, Industry Standards, and Initiatives: stay current with industry best practices and emerging sustainability trends; coordinate activities and efforts in capability building and sustainability projects and programs.
  7. External Relations: effectively represents the company and is interested in cultivating and managing relations and partnerships with external stakeholders, i.e. government, corporate partners, communities, and the general public.
