Legal & Compliance Manager

Legal & Compliance Manager will lead the company's legal and compliance initiatives, ensuring compliance with ISO standards , legal regulations and effectively managing risks associated with environmental & legal practices. This role involves developing and implementing business sustainability & compliance strategies, as well as contract management ,collaborating with various departments & stakeholders to integrate legal and sustainable practices and govern local and international compliance into our manufacturing processes.

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Law or any business course
• Licensed lawyer with strong legal & corporate compliance preferably with sustainability background
• Minimum of 5 -7 year experience in a sustainability role and legal and risk compliance particularly in ESG or corporate law within the manufacturing industry.
• Strong Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and certifications related to risk, legal compliance, environmental law and sustainable practices.
• Knowledge with contract management and governance
• In-depth knowledge of ISO standards with a track record in quality management, pollution control emissions reduction, and environmental compliance
• Experience in implementing and in practicing operational and auditing standards around Governance, Risk, and Legal Compliance
• Demonstrated excellent organization, facilitation, leadership, written and oral communication, and presentation skills
• Willing to be assigned in Malvar Batangas

Responsibilities

1. Provide legal counsel on sustainability policies and corporate governance
2. Conduct comprehensive risk assessments related to environmental, social and governance factors.
3. Oversee and manage all compliance aspects of the company, ensuring adherence to ISO standards and legal requirements.
4. Develop, implement, and monitor strategies that align with the company’s goals. Identify and mitigate risks associated with sustainability initiatives.
5. Collaborate with external stakeholders including suppliers, partners, auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure alignment with sustainability goals.
6. Stay updated with the latest trends and regulations in sustainability environmental and legal compliance
7. Will handle & manage Legal, Compliance and Environmental , Safety and Health sections of the company
8. Any other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned to you by the management from time to time, within your category of employment in the organization and for the effective implementation, maintenance and continual improvement of the Integrated Management System
