About The Job

TalentPop, a high-growth leader in the E-commerce space, is seeking a foundational L&D Operations & Strategy Lead to establish and scale our learning function globally. As the first dedicated L&D hire, your mission is primarily strategic: defining the L&D infrastructure, systems, and long-term roadmap while ensuring operational excellence across all development initiatives. This role requires a blend of strategic planning (defining frameworks) and operational acumen (implementing the LMS and delivery systems) to create a scalable function that directly impacts leadership capability and operational excellence across our 700+ E-commerce brand partnerships.

Core Responsibilities & Focus Areas

I. Strategic Planning & Organizational Foundation (The Primary Focus)

  • Build and establish the foundational structure for the entire Learning & Development function, collaborating with leadership to define the long-term strategy and multi-year roadmap.
  • Conduct deep needs assessments across all departments to accurately identify critical skill gaps and inform the overarching L&D strategy (including leadership, soft skills, and AI-readiness).
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Executive Leadership, HR, and Operations to strategically align all development initiatives with high-level business goals and growth targets.

II. Operations & System Implementation

  • Establish foundational tools and systems for learning delivery (LMS selection and implementation, assessment platforms, analytics dashboards) to ensure consistency and scalability across our remote teams.
  • Develop and manage the framework for measuring the success and effectiveness of all programs, focusing on operational metrics and continuous improvement.

III. Program Oversight & Management

  • Partner with the Training Team to assess existing frameworks and seamlessly integrate new professional development, communication, and management programs.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of key organizational development initiatives, such as leadership readiness and management capability programs.

Requirements

  • 1-3+ years of experience in Learning & Development or Training Operations, with at least 1-2 years of managerial experience in the BPO industry.
  • Proven experience in building or scaling L&D functions from the ground up, including the selection and implementation of learning systems (LMS, assessment tools).
  • Exceptional project management, strategic planning, and senior stakeholder alignment skills.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and program evaluation methodologies.

Technical Requirements

  • Stable DSL/Cable/Fiber internet (20 Mbps minimum + backup)
  • Laptop/desktop with at least Core i5/Ryzen 5 and 8GB RAM
  • Reliable power source and backup work location
