Landscape Draftsman

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed drawings and blueprints for landscape projects, sections, elevations, including hardscapes, softscapes, irrigation systems, and drainage.
• Modeling landscape to create 3D renders for presentation using plans and precedent images.
• Collaborate with landscape architects to understand design intent and project goals.
• Prepare plans for grading, planting, and construction elements.
• Ensure that designs meet environmental regulations and project budgets.
• Revise drawings based on feedback from clients, architects, and engineers.
• Assist in creating 3D models and rendering presentations for clients.
• Coordinate with surveyors and engineers for site measurements and elevations.
• Maintain accurate and organized documentation of all drawings, updates, and modifications.
• Work within project timelines to meet deadlines.

Qualifications:

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in landscape architecture, drafting, or related field.
• Proven experience as a landscape draftsman or in a similar role.
• Proficiency in Vectorworks, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and other relevant drafting and rendering software.
• Knowledge of landscape design principles, grading, drainage, and irrigation systems.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret and visualize landscape designs from rough sketches and concepts.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Certification in landscape drafting or architecture is a plus.
