Description

Gappify is looking for a Junior DevOps/SecOps Engineer to be responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's DevOps and SecOps infrastructure. This includes developing and deploying automated tools and processes to improve the speed, reliability, and security of software delivery. This individual will also work closely with developers and operations staff to ensure that the company's systems are always up, running efficiently, and secure.



Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement automated tools and processes for software delivery


• Work with developers and operations staff to ensure that the company's systems are always up and running


• Design and implement security measures to protect the company's systems


• Monitor and analyze system performance to identify and troubleshoot problems


• Stay up-to-date on the latest DevOps technologies and best practices


• Responsible for completing customer security questionnaires as part of information security controls


• Early engagement and collaboration with product and engineering teams to define and document architectural requirements to include security and cloud infrastructure


• Establish best practices, necessary security enhancements to the infrastructure, and general development lifecycle.


• Enable and champion constant refinement in DevOps/SecOps practices, including automation of SAST, DAST, IAST, MAST along with threat modeling, code peer reviews, penetration testing, security remediation and security monitoring/incident response enablement.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field


• 3+ years of experience in DevOps/SecOps or a similar role


• Strong understanding of software development and operations principles


• Demonstrated experience with the implementation, operation, and support of enterprise DevOps/SecOps technologies.


• Experience with automated tools and processes


• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills along with strong communication and teamwork skills


• Proficient with AWS cloud computing platform


• Experience with Cloudformation automation


• Experience using Docker container


• Proficient with continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) tools (Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines)


• Strong understanding of security protocols/practices such as NIST, SOC 2


• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate certified (or equivalent) desirable


• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional, SysOps Administrator Associated certified (or equivalent) desirable
