Junior Analyst - Data Collections & Verification

Overview

ISS is growing! We are looking for an analytically minded and technically savvy individual to join our growing Data Organization. This is an ideal position for a new college graduate who is looking for a position that is going to be challenging, demands high performance, but will give them hands-on experience working with big data and financial analytics.

Responsibilities

• Acquire new data and maintain existing data through website research
• Work with data and product departments to ensure data completeness and integrity
• Complete daily research deliverables
• Effectively utilize proprietary databases and the Internet to complete research
• Perform data quality assurance: identifying and analyzing data quality issues
• Work collaboratively with team members both in the Philippines and in the U.S.
• Support relevant process improvement and technology projects by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables.
• Help maintain documentation of work processes and institutional knowledge in a centralized, web-based database.
• Participate in a variety of other data management initiatives and assist on special projects as assigned
  
  

Qualifications

Training & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree graduate in Finance, Business, Economics, or any closely related field (Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural work environment.
  
  

Experience working with any of the following would be a plus:

• Strong analytical skills to help interpret and aid in translation of industry data
• Ability to take initiative to research and find a solution to presented or unidentified issues
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other technical abilities preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet aggressive deadlines
• Self-motivated/starter with strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and documentation skills
• Working knowledge and understanding of the financial services and insurance industries a plus
• Experience using Excel to manipulate and prepare financial data a plus
  
  

Work Location & Schedule:

• Amenable working at Makati City on a permanent late day shift schedule (12 noon – 9 pm Manila Time)
• Amenable to go on a 2-month onsite training prior to transitioning to hybrid working arrangement.
• Hybrid working arrangement (at least 3 days' work onsite per week)
