About The Role
As a Junior Accounting Officer, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of internal reports for use by the management and external/regulatory reports. You will act as an alternate to the Senior Accounting Officer in overseeing the operations of the team, assists in the preparation or review of various reports, and serves as a pool within the team.
You will submit requirement of internal and external audits and addresses/closes audit observations and findings on a timely basis. Also, you will implement changes (new and amended) in accounting standards, participate in continuous improvement and other projects, and perform maintenance of the Bank’s financial reporting systems.

You will act as an alternate to the Senior Accounting Officer in overseeing the operations of the team, assists in the preparation or review of various reports, and serves as a pool within the team.
You will submit requirement of internal and external audits and addresses/closes audit observations and findings on a timely basis. Also, you will implement changes (new and amended) in accounting standards, participate in continuous improvement and other projects, and perform maintenance of the Bank’s financial reporting systems.
How you’ll contribute
- Prepares and takes ownership of reports and ensures control, monitoring and review processes are in place
- Ensures the process of collating and comprising statutory and regulatory reports is robust, appropriately communicated, executed and monitored
- Delivers on special projects (e.g. new systems, new accounting standards, reconciliation processes, etc.) by reference to project objectives or work programs requiring subject matter expertise
- Deals with internal auditors and external auditors like BSP, SGV and other regulatory agencies, as applicable and coordinates all requirements and addresses all audit observations/issues related to the unit
- Implements and fully utilizes the Oracle ERP and EPM Systems (applicable modules).
- Implements change the bank (CTB) initiatives such as TAT reduction on certain processes, month end closing and manual adjustments
- Other related tasks which may be assigned from time to time
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
- At least 3 to 4 years of experience in General Accounting, Audit, Taxation, and/or Banking and Finance
- With experience in Financial reporting standards and regulations (SEC/BIR/SEC/PSE)
- With good to excellent analytical, project management, and communication skills
