Job Title: Junior Accountant (UK)

Work Setup & Schedule:

• Hybrid (10AM to 7PM)

What you’ll be doing:

• To support UK clients with their finance functions. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing and assisting with bookkeeping, UK payroll, VAT and UK VAT returns, corporation tax, and corporation tax returns, statutory accounts in line with FRS 102/105, statutory filings, cash flow forecasting, budgeting, ad hoc client requests.
• Organizing team schedules and planning to meet client deadlines.
• Improving and maintaining company processes.
• Actively contributing towards a desirable working culture.
• Updating the project management software daily with progress and developments.
• Keeping the team informed by managing expectations effectively, using communication channels such as Slack and Gmail.

Hours of Work

• The employee will be required to join the virtual daily office call from 9 am UK time, until the end of the working day.
• Working hours are flexible if discussed and approved in advance by the supervisor.
• Overtime will be given back as time in lieu.

The ideal candidate must:

• Have 1+ year of accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Be competent using Microsoft Excel (essential).
• Have had exposure to accounting software (preferably Xero).
