Harris Consulting Philippines (HCP) is currently seeking a Full-Time HR Generalist. This is a remote position, but will require in person training in Makati from time to time for new hire orientations. HCP operates during business hours in the local PH time zone. Flexibility is required for some team meetings during U.S. hours.

Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced HR Generalist to join our team remotely from the Philippines. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a wide range of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with local labor laws. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication and organizational skills who can handle various HR tasks in a remote work environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Recruitment & Onboarding:
    • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, candidate sourcing, interviewing, and onboarding.
    • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract top talent in the Philippines and other regions.
    • Coordinate the onboarding process, ensuring a smooth transition for new hires, including document collection, system setup, and training coordination.
  • Employee Relations:
    • Act as a point of contact for employee queries and concerns, providing guidance on company policies, conflict resolution, and performance issues.
    • Manage employee engagement initiatives and contribute to building a positive remote work culture.
    • Handle disciplinary actions, terminations, and other sensitive employee matters with discretion and in line with company policies and Philippine labor laws.
  • Performance Management:
    • Support managers in the performance appraisal process, providing tools and resources to help track and evaluate employee performance.
    • Assist in the development and implementation of performance improvement plans (PIPs) when necessary.
    • Drive initiatives that improve employee retention, satisfaction, and overall productivity.
  • Compensation & Benefits:
    • Administer payroll and benefits programs, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
    • Work with payroll providers and benefits vendors to ensure compliance with local regulations.
    • Conduct salary benchmarking and ensure that compensation packages are competitive within the market.
  • Compliance & Legal:
    • Ensure compliance with Philippine labor laws and company policies, keeping up-to-date with any changes in regulations.
    • Maintain employee records and ensure data accuracy in HR systems.
    • Develop and implement HR policies and procedures that align with company objectives and legal requirements.
  • HR Reporting & Analytics:
    • Generate reports on key HR metrics such as employee turnover, engagement, and recruitment effectiveness.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on HR data analysis.
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a remote or global environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine labor laws and HR best practices.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Experience with HRIS and payroll software (Workday and ADP).
  • Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and prioritize tasks in a remote setting.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications

  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, CIPD, or equivalent).
  • Experience working with a multinational or distributed team.
  • Familiarity with remote work technologies and tools (e.g.Teams).

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment.
