The Head of IT will play a critical role in ensuring seamless IT service delivery while driving digital transformation and innovation.
Roles And Responsibilities
IT Strategy & Leadership
- Develop and execute the organization’s IT strategy to support business growth and digital transformation.
- Align IT initiatives with business goals, ensuring technology enhances productivity and efficiency.
- Establish and manage IT policies, best practices, and governance frameworks.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the IT team, fostering a high-performance and innovative culture.
- Oversee global IT support services, ensuring high availability, performance, and scalability of IT infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance, servers, networks, backups, and disaster recovery processes to maintain business continuity.
- Manage IT asset lifecycle from procurement to decommissioning.
- Ensure IT service delivery meets KPIs and SLAs, optimizing IT support and operations.
- Develop and implement robust cybersecurity policies and risk management strategies to safeguard data and IT assets.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and data privacy laws(e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
- Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response planning.
- Oversee IT service desk operations, ensuring efficient incident resolution, problem management, and escalation handling.
- Implement ITIL-based IT service management (ITSM) best practices for enhanced service quality.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve end-user experience and IT service efficiency.
- Lead IT projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and digital transformation initiatives.
- Manage vendor relationships, ensuring cost-effective IT procurement and service agreements.
- Evaluate and implement new technologies, cloud solutions, and automation tools for business growth.
- Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing IT team, ensuring continuous learning and skill development.
- Work closely with business leaders, department heads, and stakeholders to align IT with operational needs.
- Foster collaboration between IT and other departments to drive innovation and business process optimization.
- Proven experience (8+ years) in IT leadership roles, such as IT Head, IT Director, or Senior IT Manager.
- Expertise in IT service management (ITSM), cybersecurity, cloud computing, and infrastructure management.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL, COBIT, or other IT governance frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, AWS, Azure, virtualization (Hyper-V, VMware), networking (Cisco, Fortinet), and backup solutions (Veeam, etc.).
- Experience managing KPIs, SLAs, priority matrices, and IT budgeting.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Certifications such as ITIL, CISSP, CISM, PMP, AWS/Azure certifications.
- Experience in enterprise IT transformation, automation, and digital innovation.
