The Center of Excellence Officer executes the strategy and operational objectives of the TPMO department. The Center of Excellence Officer ensures the effective implementation of defined services and continuous improvement to enable the efficient TPMO and project management practices, processes, and methodologies across the group.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in the creation and maintenance of policies, procedures, and standards to facilitate consistent TPMO and project management practices
  • Supports the development and maintenance of project delivery templates and tools to support project teams.
  • Studies project data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Continuously evaluates and improves the TPMO's processes, tools, and services to ensure they remain relevant and effective.
  • Coordinates with stakeholders across the organization to identify and address project needs
  • Leverages relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices (e.g., PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge, PRINCE2, etc.)
  • Supports Organization Change Management
  • Provides advisory and training support to TPMO and project teams
  • Provides support for tools, knowledge, and library management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering or other related courses
  • At least 5 years of solid background as Project Management Office (PMO) Leader or Project delivery experience
  • Experience in portfolio and program leadership and co-ordination/administration
  • Experience in managing projects
  • Experience in resource management
  • Vendor management experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of project management tools and techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of business and systems in a line of business
  • Has people management skills, leadership skills, problem solving skills
  • Has the ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Has change management, continuous improvement and data analysis skills
