ECI has an exciting opportunity for IT Business Analyst—Network Engineering, who is responsible/act as a critical link between our clients’ business objectives and our internal network engineering team. His/her role will be to gather, interpret, and translate business requirements into actionable network solutions that support operational goals across multiple client environments.
This is role at times maybe client-facing which requires technical fluency, strong business acumen, and the ability to juggle priorities in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.

The Opportunity:
ECI has an exciting opportunity for IT Business Analyst—Network Engineering, who is responsible/act as a critical link between our clients’ business objectives and our internal network engineering team. His/her role will be to gather, interpret, and translate business requirements into actionable network solutions that support operational goals across multiple client environments.

This is an onsite role.
What you will do:
- Engage with internal teams and clients to gather and document technical and business requirements related to networking solutions (e.g., firewalls, SD-WAN, cloud networking, switches, routing, wireless).
- Work closely with Network Engineers, Project Managers, and Account Managers to scope and design solutions that align with client goals and MSP best practices.
- Create and maintain business requirement documents (BRDs), network diagrams, solution proposals, and project charters.
- Analyze client infrastructure and make recommendations for network improvements, upgrades, or new implementations that enhance security, scalability, and performance.
- Participate in network assessments, discovery sessions, and pre-sales engineering discussions as needed.
- Assist in planning and coordination of project rollouts, migrations, and integrations involving network services.
- Support the implementation of client-specific SLAs, ensuring all network solutions meet uptime, security, and compliance requirements.
- Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and post-implementation reviews to ensure solution effectiveness.
- Facilitate the upkeep of documentation on client environments and contribute to the development of standard operating procedures.
- Provide input on internal tools and platforms to enhance service delivery efficiency.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field – or equivalent work experience.
- 2–4 years of experience as an IT Business Analyst, with a focus on infrastructure or networking projects, preferably in an MSP or multi-client environment.
- Understanding of core networking concepts (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, firewalls, cloud networking).
- Strong documentation skills (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart, Confluence, SharePoint).
- Experience with ticketing and project management systems (e.g., ServiceNow, ConnectWise, Autotask, Jira).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interface confidently with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
- Previous experience in a Managed Services Provider (MSP) or IT consulting firm.
- Certifications such as CCNA, CompTIA Network+, ITIL Foundation, or CBAP.
- Familiarity with MSP tools such as ConnectWise Manage, ConnectWise Automate, N-Able, or Datto RMM.
- Working knowledge of cloud environments (Azure, AWS) and hybrid networking.
