Position Summary:
Providing exemplary technical support, managing tickets and inquiries, providing support in accordance with established processes, and documents incidents and remedies. The role will provide prompt responses to questions from employees, troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve problems related to operating systems, hardware and software while managing and maintaining the organization's IT infrastructure
Essential Job Functions “What You’ll Do”:
IT Infrastructure Management & Architecture
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of IT infrastructure, including hardware, software, networks, and servers.
- Collaborates with solution architects, DevOps, cybersecurity, and IT leadership to ensure scalability, security, and reliability.
- Conducts capacity planning, resource utilization analysis, and disaster recovery planning
- Evaluates, selects, and implements new technologies to enhance efficiency and performance
System Administration & End-User Support
- Provides advanced technical support, troubleshooting complex hardware, software, and network issues
- Manages escalated help desk tickets, ensuring timely resolution
- Installs, configures, and maintains desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Performs software installations, upgrades, and patches
- Works with vendors and IT teams to resolve system-related issues
Security & Compliance
- Develops, implements, and enforces security measures to protect systems and data.
- Maintains security policies, access controls, and authentication mechanisms.
- Conducts security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
- Oversee firewalls, endpoint protection, and other security tools.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and organizational standards
System Monitoring & Performance Optimization
- Implement monitoring tools to track system health, performance, and availability
- Analyzes performance metrics to identify and resolve bottlenecks.
- Conducts performance tuning, load balancing, and capacity optimization.
- Develop disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
- Leads performance testing and provides recommendations for improvements.
Technology Evaluation & Implementation
- Stays current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends.
- Evaluates and recommends hardware, software, and networking solutions.
- Leads technology projects, including upgrades, migrations, and integrations.
- Tests and validates new technologies before deployment.
- Coordinates with vendors for procurement and implementation
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintains accurate documentation of systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Creates and updates technical guides, user manuals, and knowledge base articles.
- Prepares reports on performance, incidents, and support metrics.
- Contributes to documentation standards and compliance requirements
Team Leadership & Collaboration
- Provides technical leadership and guidance to IT administrators.
- Mentors junior staff, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing.
- Coordinates and prioritizes team tasks for effective project delivery.
- Promotes collaboration and communication across IT and business units.
- Participates in IT strategic planning and decision-making
Essential Qualifications “What You’ll Need”:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
- 5-7 years IT Administrator or in a related role, with a focus on managing complex IT infrastructure.
- 5-7 years Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange, SharePoint)
- Exchange Online, including mailbox management
- Administer SharePoint Online and OneDrive, including site design and structure, and ensure proper permission configurations align with organizational access and security policies.
- Experience with scripting and automation tools (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
- 5-7 years Mimecast email security
- Manage Mimecast instance, including domain integration, policy configuration, and administration of email security protocols (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) to ensure secure and authenticated communication
- Configure and manage DNS records, including SPF and DKIM
