Job Overview

The Internal Auditor is responsible for evaluating and improving the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes. The Auditor conducts audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls and make recommendations where necessary, help safeguard the organization’s assets and prevent any fraud. Furthermore, internal auditor plays a vital role in detecting and preventing financial and operational risks. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, be detail-oriented, and have excellent communication abilities.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct internal audits to assess the adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of the established internal controls and procedures.
• Evaluate compliance with company policies and procedures, laws, and regulations.
• Monitor and report compliance of statutory payments across all government agencies.
• Identify areas of potential risk and develop measures to mitigate those risks.
• Prepare audit findings and recommendations based on audit results.
• Communicate audit findings and recommendations to management and stakeholders.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations.
• Assist in developing audit programs and testing procedures relevant to risk and test objectives.
• Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and controls.
• Ensure all requirements set by the Board of Investments (BOI) are met, that includes timely submission of reports and application for ITH, payment of fees and any other requirement set for by BOI.
• Liaise with external audit consultants for completion of external audit.
• Frame policies in collaboration with the Management that will cover all aspects of Finance operations- bookkeeping, accounts payables, accounts receivables in compliance with the statutory laws to maintain highest standards and integrity, to mitigate risks and possibility of fraud.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Internal Auditor or similar role.
• Strong understanding of auditing theory and principles.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex information.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional certification such as CPA is required.
• Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel) and finance or audit software.
