Interior Designer CAD Drafting & 3D Modeling (Remote)

Work-from-Home | Project-Based | SketchUp & Enscape Expertise Required

We are seeking a skilled Interior Designer with strong CAD drafting and 3D modeling skills to support our conceptual and technical design process. You will work closely with our design team to develop dimensionally accurate SketchUp models and presentation-ready construction documents for high-end interior projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop well-organized, accurate base models in SketchUp based on 2D plans, field measurements, and existing conditions.
  • Create organized model scenes, tags, and layout transitions for room plans, elevations, and sections.
  • Assemble detailed drawings and documents in Layout, including annotations, scrapbooks, and Nuance-standard assets.
  • Source and refine manufacturer CAD models, clean up geometry, and apply textures and UV mapping.
  • Develop soft-surface elements (e.g., upholstery, fabric folds) and seamless texture materials using editing tools.
  • Prepare models for Enscape rendering: lighting setup, furniture placement, and material enhancements.
  • Ensure all models follow a clear, linear modeling pipeline from low-detail concept to high-detail visuals as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Strong proficiency in SketchUp, Layout, and Enscape.
  • Experience working with 2D architectural plans and converting them into clean 3D base models.
  • Excellent organization and attention to detail in both modeling and documentation.
  • Skilled in UV mapping, texture editing, and CAD asset clean-up.
  • Ability to interpret and follow visual/graphic standards for construction and presentation.
  • Familiarity with photo editing software (e.g., Photoshop) for texture creation is a plus.
  • Good communication skills and ability to follow design intent precisely.


Nice to Have:

  • Experience in interior renovation or high-end residential design
  • Familiarity with manufacturer CAD libraries
  • Knowledge of rendering techniques and lighting behavior in Enscape
