Insurance Broker Administration Assistant

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday (7am-4pm)

Processing Support

  • Client set-up and filing
  • Client maintenance
  • Processing (data entry) in WinBEAT/SUNRISE/SVU/OT
  • Renewals
  • Referrals
  • Endorsements
  • New Business
  • Cancellations
  • Premium Funding
  • Data Management System:
  • New File set-up
  • Filing
  • Notes
  • Track processing status on master renewal spreadsheet
  • Monitor works flow via OfficeTech task system / Asana
  • Completion of Time Sheets via Brokers preferred system
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance processes and procedures including privacy, data security and confidentiality.
  • Respond and engage with broker
  • Ad hoc administrative support to broker
  • Ensuring that Prelis Insurance Solutions high standards of service are maintained at all times
  • Providing support to the Directors to ensure that the goals and objectives of the brokerage are attained
  • Respecting confidentiality
  • Managing and fulfilling office administration duties as required
  • Meetings via Brokers preferred platform as required
  • Note: No direct contact with end clients

Qualifications

Describe the qualifications the staff must have in terms of skills and capabilities

  • Over 2 years experience in insurance industry (ideally in broking but underwriting considered)
  • Bachelor of Business or equivalent (administration, commerce, economics, finance)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tier 2 in General Insurance
  • Tier 1 in Insurance Broking

Note: I am happy to forgo the WinBEAT experience; however, I would require a resource with broking experience who is also familiar with the Microsoft platform and possesses strong IT skills.

Prior Experience

Describe the prior working experience a candidate should have.

  • Min 2 years Insurance broking administration experience
  • Experience with both Personal Lines insurance policies (home, private motor, landlords) and Business Insurance policies (business insurance packages)
  • WinBEAT broking system experience
  • Sunrise Insurer Platform and Steadfast SVU platform experience preferred
  • Experience in managing high volume data entry/processing
  • Previous experience working with an Australian based firm
