Five9 is seeking a Sales Tax/Indirect Tax Analyst located in the Philippines to support the U.S. Tax Team. Tax experience is a plus, but not mandatory for this role.

Job Responsibilities:

• Under supervision of U.S tax team, review Sales and Telecom tax returns prepared by external service provider
• Assist in reconciling the filed returns to the General Ledger
• Responsible for Tax Exemption Certificate maintenance process relating to exempt/reseller customers
• Research and resolve state and local notices related to Sales Tax/Indirect tax filings
• Assist with sales tax audits
• Support U.S. Tax Team with preparation of internally prepared tax returns
• Other ad hoc tax-related tasks as needed
  
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 2-3 years relevant experience
• Strong analytical skills
• Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
• Willingness to learn about Five9’s business and products, and application of sales or telecom taxes to such
• Ability to work effectively while remote, with limited supervision
• General understanding of accounting principles, including general ledgers, trial balances and journal entries
  
  

Desirable Skills:

• Tax experience, local or foreign, a plus
• Experience with NetSuite and/or Avalara
