Your impact

  • Lead or contribute significantly to the development of conceptual hydraulic designs for gas-fired power plants, including combined cycle (CCGT) and open cycle (OCGT) configurations.
  • Prepare and review FEED deliverables, including hydraulic flow diagrams, system descriptions, and preliminary equipment sizing.
  • Perform hydraulic calculations for pipelines, pumps, and open channel systems.
  • Perform and validate hydraulic calculations, including
    • Closed-loop and open-loop cooling systems.
    • Raw and potable water systems.
    • Fuel gas and fuel oil handling systems.
    • Condensate and feedwater systems.
    • Firewater, service water, and wastewater systems.
    • Develop and review detailed engineering designs, including P&IDs, piping layouts, and equipment specifications.
    • Conduct hydraulic modeling and surge analysis using tools such as HYSYS, AFT Fathom, Flowmaster, or Bentley Hammer.
    • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (mechanical, process, civil, electrical) to ensure integrated and optimized designs.
    • Support procurement by preparing technical specifications, reviewing vendor documents, and participating in technical bid evaluations.
    • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and performance testing.
    • Ensure compliance with international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWWA, ISO).
    • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.


    Here's what you'll need

    • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (with a focus on fluid systems).
    • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in hydraulic engineering, preferably in thermal power plant or industrial projects.
    • Familiarity with concept, FEED and detailed engineering processes.
    • Working knowledge of hydraulic modeling software and engineering design tools (AutoCAD, Plant 3D, etc.).
    • Understanding of international engineering standards (e.g., ASME, API, AWWA).
    • Strong analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
