Human Resources Compliance Manager

Basic Function

Plans and conducts HR and operational documentation and compliance audits to evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls. Determine compliance with selected policies, procedures, and regulations. Make written recommendations to the HR management and process owners to increase efficiency and/or effectiveness of the HR related control systems of functions reviewed.

This position works with all levels of management and employees within EXL, internal audit personnel and external auditors.

Essential Functions

1. Works closely with Senior Management in providing insights and regulatory guidance to all Philippines’ sites
2. Mediates and resolves complex employee relations issues and address grievances
3. Conducts scheduled and unscheduled compliance/risk audits and releases audit observation to the Senior Management
4. Reviews, prepares and ensures green status in statutory, external/internal audits such as Sarbanes-Oxley audit, Entity Level Controls audit
5. Releases Compliance Status Dashboard for HR Business units
6. Partners with HR and operations to ensure effective deployment of HR policies and practices
7. Creates awareness and educates HR business partners with existing and new employee related rules and regulations
8. Implements initiatives and to setup compliance framework for new business/location
9. Drafts and implements process and policy improvements
10. Create and update HR-related policies and processes to ensure that programs are compliant with regulatory requirements and labor laws and aligned with existing business practices.
11. Acts as a subject matter expert in the interpretation of labor laws, HR programs and practices.
12. Ensures the compliance of HR business units with existing policies, processes, and regulatory requirements such as the Labor Code, Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act, and Data Privacy Act of 2012.

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree, Post Graduate Diploma / Master's Degree, Business Studies/Administration/Management, Human Resource Management, Law or equip
• Proficiency in MS office & PowerPoint
• Need to have good understanding on Excel skills
• Knowledge of HR processes and statutory guidelines
• Excellent Communication skills & interpersonal skills
• Must have experience in audits such as SOC or DOLE
