Shift: 02:00 AM- 11:00 AM (Philippine Time) Tuesday - Saturday
Job Summary:
The Healthcare Support Specialist 1 is responsible for providing administrative support and patient care assistance in a healthcare setting. This role involves managing patient records, coordinating prescription refills, scheduling deliveries of nutritional supplies, and addressing patient inquiries and concerns. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and colleagues.
Job Responsibilities:
• Manage patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality.
• Reach out to patients for prescription refills and coordinate with pharmacies for timely delivery.
• Schedule deliveries of nutritional supplies and address any delivery-related concerns or inquiries.
• Verify patients' active prescriptions before initiating refill requests.
• Utilize desktop and cloud-based software systems efficiently and learn pharmaceutical management software as required.
• Handle inbound and outbound calls, providing courteous assistance to clients and healthcare professionals.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of nutrition and medical supplies, particularly in areas such as tube feeding.
• Work collaboratively with team members and independently when necessary, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Recognize problems, gather information, make accurate conclusions, and implement effective decisions.
• Maintain excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently and accurately
Required Qualifications:
• Basic knowledge of nutrition and medical supplies, particularly in areas such as tube feeding, is preferred to better assist patients and address their needs effectively.
• Ability to proficiently use desktop and cloud-based software systems.
• Willingness and capability to quickly learn pharmaceutical management software to effectively carry out job responsibilities..
• Strong organizational and time management skills to manage patient records, coordinate prescription refills, and schedule deliveries of nutritional supplies efficiently.
• Meticulous attention to detail is essential to maintain accuracy in handling delivery tickets, prescription refills, and patient documentation.
• Clear and coherent in both written and verbal communication skills for providing courteous and effective assistance to clients, doctors' offices, and colleagues.
• Ability to work well both in a team and independently, displaying initiative and problem-solving skills when necessary.
• Ability to recognize problems, gather relevant information, draw accurate conclusions, and implement well-founded decisions to address issues effectively and efficiently.
