The Head of Business Analytics leads a specialized team of experts that process data to ensure that operation teams on the ground are equipped with the knowledge to conduct operations in the most cost effective way possible.

The three main roles of the Head of Business Analytics are:

  • Ensure that all units are equipped with the information regarding their current performance vis-à-vis their operational target.
  • Guide the key leaders of the organization through accurate data analysis of what is needed in order to achieve operational targets.
  • Take the lead in driving change management across Operations Uni

Main Duties

  • Collaborate with appropriate Operations Unit Heads to determine optimal operating performance level.
  • Build and monitor a central view of how each different operating unit performs in terms of cost and operational efficiency.
  • Establish benchmarks that each operating unit should hit in order to achieve the entire unit’s operational targets and KPI’s.
  • Analyze the overall operating performance, and propose relevant actions and initiatives in order to achieve organization goals.
  • Work closely with commercial heads to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of commercial teams. Identify gaps and recommend strategies for improvement.
  • Support commercial heads to determine the best pricing strategy based on different requirements.
  • Take charge of revenue and profitability projection and forecasting, providing key commercial insights to support the commercial team in decision making.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of at least 4-year course, preferably in Business Studies, Management/Industrial Engineering, or Information Technology with work experience appropriate for the role.
  • 3-5 years experience in data analytics roles
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience in SQL and other business intelligence or analytics platforms (Python, R, Periscope, Metabase, etc.)
  • Proven analytical background
  • Intermediate to Advanced Skill in Microsoft Excel or Google Suite’s Gsheet
  • Basic accounting and finance knowledge
  • Prior experience with a start-up and a logistics company is preferred but not required
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Experience in working with senior management
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and thrive in a fast-moving environment
