Job Description: Graphic Designer

Position Overview

Our client, Tap Room, is seeking a highly creative and versatile Graphic Designer to join our growing marketing team. This role focuses on creating engaging, high-quality visuals across multiple channels, including social media, web, and print. From designing menus and large-format prints to crafting digital campaigns, you'll play a critical role in elevating Tap Room's brand identity.

The company uses **Customer.io** as their email platform, so familiarity with itâor similar platforms like Mailchimp or Klaviyoâis a big plus. Additionally, many of their existing designs are housed in **Canva**, so working knowledge of Canva will help you collaborate effectively and build on prior projects.

Key Responsibilities

Graphic Design

  • Create assets for social media, website, email newsletters, print materials (menus, posters, flyers), and large-format designs (banners, signage).
  • Work within Canva to edit and adapt existing designs while maintaining brand consistency.
  • Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) for advanced design projects requiring a high level of polish and creativity.

Content Creation

  • Develop engaging visual content to support marketing campaigns and promotions.
  • Edit and animate short videos for social media, ads, and other marketing purposes.

Email & Website Design

  • Design and optimize email templates in **Customer.io** (or similar platforms like Mailchimp or Klaviyo).
  • Update and maintain web graphics and collaborate on landing page creation for campaigns.

AI-Driven Content Creation (Huge Plus)

  • Use AI tools to enhance efficiency and creativity in video generation, image editing, or design automation.

Collaboration & Strategy

  • Partner with the marketing team to align content with Tap Room's brand strategy and goals.
  • Contribute creative ideas during brainstorming sessions and provide innovative solutions for campaigns.

Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Strong proficiency in graphic design, with expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Familiarity with Canva to access and build upon existing design assets.
  • Experience with video editing and animation tools (Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar).
  • Solid understanding of typography, layout, and storytelling for digital and print mediums.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing email templates in Customer.io, Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or similar platforms.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of AI tools for content creation, video generation, or design automation.
  • HTML/CSS knowledge for email templates is a plus.
