Job Overview
- Join ING as Global Workplace Security Engineer (AVP Level) part of the Global Workplace Services (WPS) team where you will play a key role in maintaining and improving workplace services with a strong focus on compliance, threat mitigation, and secure operations. You will work across squads to implement secure solutions and support complex enterprise security needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Improve and secure services delivered by a cross-border squad of engineers and journey experts.
- Collaborate with SaaS vendors and feature teams to stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies.
- Develop secure, reliable workplace solutions based on Microsoft 365, Intune, JAMF, and other platforms.
- Work with Microsoft and other vendors to integrate and maintain robust security controls.
- Monitor and improve compliance with regulatory and organizational security standards.
- Collaborate with IT Security teams to implement effective policies and incident management strategies.
- Automate and optimize administration processes to secure endpoints and data.
- Participate in 24/7 global support rotations and resolve 2nd/3rd line incidents.
- Provide documentation and training to ensure team readiness and compliance.
Key Capabilities/Experience
- Security Expertise: Strong understanding of enterprise security tools, principles, and Blue Team practices.
- Microsoft 365 Knowledge: Practical experience with securing services like Intune, Azure AD, and M365 compliance.
- Automation & Scripting: Proficient in PowerShell and deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps).
- Problem Solving: Ability to resolve technical and compliance-related challenges effectively.
- Collaboration: Skilled at working across teams and stakeholders in regulated environments.
- Communication: Capable of explaining complex technical concepts to various audiences.
Minimum Qualifications
- Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of work experience on the related role
- Certifications: Relevant certifications Microsoft 365 and security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) is a plus.
- Regulatory Understanding: Experience working in highly regulated environments like financial institutions.
