About the role...

We are looking for a Global Clearing Specialist to join our Payments Team. Ideally, this will be someone who enjoys analysing transactions and has a keen eye for attention to detail. You'll be joining a team of dedicated and experienced specialists processing and maintaining payments received via the manual bank transfer payment method.

Responsibilities:

  • Work all payments and transactions sent in via manual bank transfer
  • Maintenance and monitoring of payment entries and ensure they are cleared and accounted for in a timely manner
  • Review and screen customer payments and accounts in line with operational standards
  • Monitor and investigate transactions using internal tools and external fraud prevention systems.
  • Provide expert advice and support to other departments on all clearing and payments related matters.
  • Provide feedback and ideas to help improve processes and team performance.
  • Raise issues/problems through relevant channels and stakeholders.
  • Carry out any other duties as required to support the business.

What we're looking for from you…

  • Ability to read and translate Katakana, Hiragana, Kanji and Romaji languages.
  • Analytical in reviewing transactions to ensure clearing standards are applied.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proactive in raising potential risks and issues involving clearing operations.
  • Great organisation skills, with the ability to balance priorities when dealing multiple tasks.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate with other team members to achieve targets and goals.
  • Ability to work and learn quickly in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Flexibility to work onsite
