Geologist

Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- To assist and oversee activities related to drill program execution, surface mapping, drill holes logging, and interpretation of geological information
- Conduct geohazard assessment and prepare geohazard reports.
- Preparation of standard geological database, maps, cross sections, geological reports, and progress updates
- Assist in the GIS and Ore Resource modeling-related works.
- Oversee the daily work activities of Geological Aides
- Assist the Project Geologist in Exploration field camp management, administration, and logistics.
- Manages and monitors equipment availability and utilization of drilling machines. As well as the drilling activity needs such as accessories, tools and acquisition of additional machine if necessary
- Performs other related duties as assigned

Environment
At all times, you are responsible for the upkeep of all the Company's environmental requirements in their work activities. The environmental requirements include, but are not limited to the following:
- Taking individual responsibility for protecting the environment;
- Awareness of and to Company's Environmental Policy;
- Reporting all environmental hazards and incidents to the Environmental Department and assist in where necessary; and
- Consulting with the Environmental Department as required.
Minimum Competency Standards:
- Bachelor's degree in Geology.
- Fresh BS Geology graduate or with one (1) year of work experience in mineral exploration, mining, and other related work
- Ability to use GIS software and Ore Modelling Software
- Good working knowledge and skill with a PC utilizing word processing and spreadsheet programs and applicable software including: AutoCAD, MapInfo, Arc GIS, QGIS, Excel, Access, and other mining software.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Medium to Basic understanding of Nickel Laterite deposits.
- Strong knowledge of rock, minerals, and structural feature description and identification.
- Problem-solving skill
- Basic to medium knowledge of drilling methods, drill program control, geochemistry sampling and geophysics applications, and basic construction of geologic maps and cross-section construction.
- Ability to understand large multiple geological, geochemistry, and geophysics datasets.
- Basic understanding of QA/QC protocols and procedures that meet industry standards
- Strong Field orientation, and basic to medium knowledge of drill hole logging (Diamond and Reverse circulation), surface mapping, and sampling.
- Strong orientation to working as a Team.
- No adverse record, whether proven or not, involving corruption, bribery, dishonesty, or misappropriation of funds in any organization or office;
