JOB DESCRIPTION: The General Manager (Vice President Level) will provide overall leadership and direction for renewable energy plant operations across multiple regions. This role is accountable for ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operations while driving financial performance, regulatory compliance, stakeholder management, and organizational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Operations– Lead and manage multi-region plant operations; ensure safe, reliable, and efficient performance; develop and execute operational strategies aligned with corporate priorities, growth, and sustainability goals; drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Financial Management– Oversee P&L for plant operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial performance tracking; optimize costs while ensuring quality, safety, and compliance; provide strategic recommendations on investments, expansions, and long-term asset management.
- Legal, Regulatory & Compliance– Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, labor, and energy regulations; collaborate with legal, compliance, and HSE teams to mitigate risks and uphold governance.
- People & Leadership– Lead and develop multi-site leadership teams; foster a culture of safety, accountability, and high performance; partner with HR on succession planning, talent development, and capability-building programs; strengthen employee engagement and collaboration.
- Stakeholder & Community Management– Build strong relationships with regulators, agencies, investors, partners, and community stakeholders; represent the company in industry associations, forums, and regulatory dialogues; act as a strategic advisor to senior leadership on trends, challenges, and opportunities.

- Resilient, adaptable, and innovative leadership style
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in energy, utilities, or industrial operations, with at least 10 years in a senior executive or country leadership role.
- Proven track record in leading large-scale, multi-region plant or industrial operations, preferably in renewable energy or power generation.
- Strong P&L management experience (budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis).
- Deep understanding of legal, regulatory, and compliance frameworks in the energy sector.
- Excellent leadership, people management, and organizational development capabilities.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, including government and regulatory engagement.
- Experience in renewable energy operations is highly preferred.
