Overview

ISS STOXX is growing! We are searching for a Team Lead to provide leadership and management for a data team within our Market Intelligence division. In this position you will lead a dynamic team of researchers, working collaboratively to deliver timely, high quality financial data.

Be part of a multinational global leader providing business intelligence tools that guide many of the largest players in the mutual fund industry.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead Manila team to ensure timely delivery of data collection in accordance with established Service Level Agreements
• Perform people management and administrative functions: Conduct performance reviews and regular appraisals to ensure team members work towards clearly defined professional and personal goals, Coach, train, and provide opportunities for team members to develop skills and expand work responsibilities, and monitor individual and team performance metrics to achieve business and development goals (identify opportunities for increasing productivity, efficiency, and accuracy
• Strategize, plan, and implement effective resource utilization and perform cost/benefit analyses
• Create and update documentation of work processes, and maintain institutional knowledge in a centralized web-based database
• Support relevant process improvements, as well as technology projects, by contributing to specifications and testing deliverables
• Navigate mutual fund company websites to procure marketing-ready versions of regulatory filings
• Effectively utilize proprietary databases, the SEC Edgar website, and the Internet to complete research
  
  

Qualifications

Training & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Finance, Business, Accounting, Math, Statistics, or a closely related field
• Has 5-8 years relative work experience (i.e., database research for financial corporate data) in a high-quality and hard deadline-driven environment
• Has at least 3 years proven leadership experience and was able to handle either local or global projects
• Proficiency in using Excel and experience modeling, forecasting, planning, and leading large-scale research projects
• Strong experience in designing and implementing data quality assurance programs
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; can thrive in a cross-border / multi-cultural work
  
  

Work Location & Schedule:

• Amenable working at Makati City on a permanent midshift schedule (3 pm- 12 am, Manila Time)
• Amenable to go on a 2 to 6 months’ onsite training prior to transitioning to hybrid working arrangement (3 days' work onsite per week)
