Our client is a rapidly expanding consumer FinTech group, with a vision of becoming the leading credit-led, tech-centric bank in Southeast Asia. They are seeking a results-driven Financial Controller to lead and direct their Group's finance and accounting operations. This senior position will report directly to the CFO and play a crucial role in optimising financial processes and compliance procedures across the organisation.

What you'll do:

As a Financial Controller, you will be at the forefront of our client's finance and accounting operations. Your leadership skills will be instrumental in managing a diverse team while your expertise in finance and accounting will ensure the smooth running of all financial aspects of the organisation. You will be responsible for developing strategies that safeguard the Group's interests while also providing valuable insights to guide business decisions. Your ability to manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks will be key to the success of this role.

* Lead a broad spectrum of the company's financial operations, including accounting, treasury and cash management, transaction and payroll processing, global banking relationship management, tax, and policy creation
* Manage staff within the finance and accounting function and contribute to their career development
* Ensure accurate and timely financial statements in compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements
* Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
* Analyze financial data to guide business decisions
* Manage cash flow, working capital, and financial risks effectively
* Collaborate with different departments across the Group on corporate actions, new products, services, and special projects
* Monitor financial performance, conduct variance analysis, and recommend corrective actions as needed

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Financial Controller role brings a wealth of experience in finance/accounting along with strong leadership skills. Your CPA or Accounting degree coupled with your mastery in IFRS and consolidation accounting will be vital for this role. Your exceptional critical thinking abilities will enable you to perform within international standards while your ability to lead cross-functional projects will showcase your leadership skills. Your experience thriving under stress will prove invaluable in this high-intensity role.

* CPA or Degree in Accounting from a reputable University
* Strong mastery in IFRS and consolidation accounting on Group entities
* Fluency in English with effective communication skills in an international environment
* Exceptional critical thinking abilities
* Ability to lead and manage cross-functional projects from start to completion
* Experience working under high intensity, high pressure work environments.
* At least 12 years of Finance/Accounting experience
* At least 5 years in a senior management position of Financial Controller / VP or Head of Finance / Head of Accounting or its equivalent
