Job Description

The key responsibilities of the Financial Controller are:

• Lead and improve virtual financial close processes monthly, quarterly, and annually for accuracy and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure US GAAP compliance and educate non-finance management.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations through effective corporate controllership policies.
• Reconcile balances, maintain precise records for intercompany accounts, and track expenses for each legal entity.
• Establish, monitor, and enforce robust internal controls to safeguard organizational assets.
• Oversee general ledger operations, consolidations, financial reporting, and maintain sub-ledger schedules.
• Manage financial transaction functions including FP&A, AR, Credit, AP, Payroll, and ensure tax compliance.
• Lead and develop a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and transparent work environment.
  
  
  

The Successful Applicant

To be a successful Financial Controller candidate one must have the following requirements:

• Extensive knowledge as a Controller in private and public companies.
• CPA required, with a Bachelor's in accounting/finance; MBA would be a plus.
• Expertise in software/hardware revenue recognition and stock equity expensing.
• Hands-on skills with FP&A, AR, Credit, AP, T&E, Payroll, and service level agreements.
• Proven global understanding in managing financial operations and reporting.
• Strong expertise in FP&A tools and collaboration with FP&A teams for forecasting.
• Ability to collaborate with business leaders and cross-functional teams to influence financial outcomes.
• Strong planning, analysis, execution, and communication skills with advanced Excel/Google Sheets proficiency.
