Job Description:
1. Drive identification and remediation of gaps and inefficiencies in tax compliance.
2. Drive the automation of statutory tax documents specifically e-invoice, credit memo, form 2307 among others.
3. Assist in the resolution of tax assessments and other related tax issues by working with Regional Tax, tax external counsel and BIR examiners in the examination of books of accounts.
4. Assist the company together with third party tax lawyers in protests and filings of erroneous assessments. This includes litigation of claims for tax deficiency assessments if any.
5. Assist in the preparation, review and submission of tax filings.
6. Interpret and operationalize changes in tax laws and its impact to the company.
Qualifications:
1. Candidate must be CPA. A CPA tax lawyer is not a requirement but a plus.
2. At least 5 to 10 years of managerial experience with reputable tax audit firm and/or large corporations is highly advantage.
3. Experience in the review of various corporate tax returns (GRT, EWT, FWT, and Income tax)
4. Has experience in direct interactions and negotiations with the BIR.
5. Able to work accurately and under pressure
6. Good communication skills to build strong relationships with stakeholders, including external tax consultants, auditors, and tax authorities.
7. Good at meeting deadlines and solving problems
8. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
9. Analytical skills with detail orientation
10.Familiarity with Netsuite is an advantage.
