Finance Manager

FINANCE MANAGER

The Finance Manager is responsible for the management of funds, with a goal of maximizing returns and minimizing risks for all stakeholders, by preparing financial statements and analysis, recommending necessary actions, implementing controls, and managing accounting office operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• In charge of all accounting activities both financial and management accounting.
• Perform month-end accounting activities such as reconciliations and journal entries.
• Coordinate with the finance team to complete assigned accounting tasks within deadlines.
• Analyze financial discrepancies and recommend effective resolutions.
• Monitor expenditures, analyze revenues and determine budget variances and report the same to management.
• Assist in budget preparation and expense management activities.
• Manage the cycle of constant improvement, review and recommend changes to existing accounting procedures.
• Manage compliance with local laws.
• Work closely with, report to and provide information to Company Accountants / various Stakeholders / Banks that may be required.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in finance
• Master’s degree in accountancy or finance is an advantage
• With CPA License is an advantage.
• Strong AR/AP background
• BPO experience is an advantage
• Preferably with AU and US accounting exposure
• Good analytical, communication and spreadsheet skills
• Attention to detail and critical thinker
• Extensive understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
• Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
• With excellent leadership and business acumen

Other qualifications:

• Experience using XERO and Joiin is an advantage
• Experience with Scaling Up, Lean and Jobs-to-be-done (JTBD)methodologies
• Able to manage time and prioritize workload according to business requirements
• Can handle corrections and have self-accountability
• Honest, reliable with a ‘can do’ attitude, team player and the ability to work independently with less supervision
