Roles & Responsibilities

Job Summary

The Finance Director will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for leading the overall financial strategy, management, and operations of the AGP Group’s renewable energy business in Singapore and across its global markets. This position plays a pivotal role in driving financial discipline, strategic investment decisions, and sustainable growth for the Group’s renewable energy portfolio, encompassing solar, wind, and other green energy initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist Singapore-based partners on all corporate finance activities, including capital raising, investor relations and reporting, strategic partnerships and M&A.
  • Manage the Finance & reporting functions of AGP Group in Singapore (including consolidation) and oversee these functions within the Group globally.
  • Develop and implement prudent management of the company's financial and accounting metrics as well as liquidity needs.
  • Work with other members of the Executive Management Team on project financing, debt sourcing, and tax initiatives as and when required.
  • Create and execute FP&A framework that aligns with the company's strategic growth/expansion goals with consideration of capital needs for current and new renewable projects.
  • Work with in-country platform teams to develop consolidated business plans for presentation to the board
  • Present required periodic financial reports and any ad hoc reports to executives, board members, investors and other stakeholders.
  • Refine and implement accounting policies, including a Group Accounting Manual
  • Overall responsibility for external and internal audits; include developing, implementing and maintaining robust and effective internal control policies and procedures for finance functions. Champion for internal policy and procedure enhancements from effectiveness and efficiency perspective.
  • Manage the payroll function and oversee the accounting responsibilities related to benefits administration in conjunction with the HR Team.
  • Proposing means to improve efficiency by streamlining automation of manual processes; include reviewing current system(s) across all offices.
  • Attend Board and sub-committee meetings as may be appropriate; and to take over the secretarial role of AGP Group Audit, Risk & Compliance Committee.
  • Working with external advisors to devise and implement optimal tax structures for the Group and the partners.
  • Working closely with Head of Compliance, supervise the information technology, and data operations functions of the company:
  • Ensure that the technological capabilities and capacities satisfy the company’s needs and regulatory

Requirements

  • Ensure that appropriate Information governance and management processes are in place for the

organization

  • Keep abreast of market and regulatory risks and input to the management team accordingly.
  • Ensure best practice compliance with regulatory frameworks including all tax and company specific regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner that reflects the core values of the Company.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent) is required.
  • Minimum of 15 years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership or Finance Director role within the renewable energy, infrastructure, or capital-intensive industry.
  • Demonstrated success in corporate finance, fundraising, and investor relations, ideally within renewable or clean energy markets.
  • In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards, renewable project financing, and global tax structures.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability finance principles, ESG reporting, and green investment frameworks.
  • Proven experience managing multi-entity consolidations, international audits, and compliance across jurisdictions.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic planning, and leadership skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities, capable of engaging with stakeholders across technical, financial, and regulatory domains.
