Finance & Business Operations Analyst
Threls Ltd.

At Threls, we believe that finance isn’t just about numbers — it’s about driving smart decisions, supporting strategic growth, and powering the engine behind everything we do. Our finance team is reshaping how financial operations are run by blending human expertise with AI-powered workflows, creating leaner, faster, and smarter systems.
We’re looking for a full time Finance & Business Operations Analyst professional who’s passionate about finance, tech-savvy, and ready to embrace the future of AI-driven financial operations. You’ll work closely with our Finance Lead (based in the Philippines) in a hybrid setup, balancing remote work with impactful collaboration. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in management accounting, an eye for process improvement, and a desire to shape the future of finance in a forward-thinking tech company.
Tasks
Management Accounting
Project Performance & Profitability Analysis: Track, analyze, and report on the financial performance of internal and external projects. Prepare monthly reports with KPIs, variance analysis, and actionable recommendations to support strategic decision-making and improve overall efficiency.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Assist in preparing and maintaining budgets and financial forecasts across teams and departments.
Indirect Cost Oversight: Analyze performance across internal cost centers (e.g., Admin, Marketing, HR, etc), identifying opportunities for cost optimization and improved resource allocation.
Account Code-Level Expense Management: Monitor and manage expenses at account code level by coordinating with team leads across customer relations, tech, and administration to ensure alignment and financial control.
Operations
Internal Process Optimisation: Support the streamlining of workflows and internal policies, primarily by documenting finance-related processes using visual flowcharts for clarity and consistency.
Leverage AI: Threls is embracing a new era of finance and admin support — where every team member focuses on meaningful work. You’ll help roll out AI tools that eliminate repetitive tasks and enhance productivity across the organisation.
Compliance & SLA Coordination: Assist the Finance Lead and Legal in tracking financial terms in Maintenance Agreements and SLAs, ensuring contractual alignment and service continuity.
Operational Risk Support: Help monitor financial risks and ensure compliance with internal standards and legal frameworks, particularly around data protection.
Financial Accounting
Day-to-Day Finance Operations: Support bookkeeping, reconciliations, and financial tracking across the Threls group, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Invoicing & Collections: Ensure timely and accurate invoicing to clients based on Software Development and Maintenance & Support Agreements, and manage the full billing and collection cycle.
Reporting & Compliance: Contribute to the preparation of internal and external financial reports. Ensure adherence to accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and tax filings.
Audit Support: Assist in preparing and organising financial documentation for annual audits across all Threls entities, including Threls Ltd (Malta), Threls OÜ (Estonia), and any future subsidiaries, ensuring smooth and timely completion.
Record Maintenance: Maintain clear, organised, and audit-ready financial documentation to support compliance and decision-making.
Requirements
We’re Looking For:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- CPA Certification (or equivalent qualification).
- 3+ Years of Experience in a finance role — Big 4 experience? That’s a huge plus!
- Detail-Oriented & Organized: You spot mistakes before they happen.
- Legal Curiosity: Interest in financial agreements and contracts.
- AI Enthusiast: You see technology as a tool for transformation, not just automation.
- Great Communicator: Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate across teams.
- Tech-Savvy: Proficient in financial software and data analysis tools.
- Proactive & Adaptable: You thrive in fast-paced environments and tackle challenges head-on.
- Strong Problem-Solving Skills: You think critically and offer solutions, not just identify problems.
- Team Player with a Growth Mindset: You’re eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the team’s success.
