Farm Supervisor

The opportunity

As a Farm Supervisor You Will

• Support the DAF Facility Manager to develop and implement operational and business plans related to research and development, compliance and resource management.
• Build trusted relationships with DAF researchers and technical staff and external researchers to capitalise on the use of Agtech equipment and resources.
• Make informed, data-driven decisions and ensure the integrity of research, development and extension projects and activities are respected to deliver positive outcomes for industry.
• Take opportunities for your own professional development and of the staff you supervise through performance capability planning and dedicated career development training programs.
  
  
  

Emerald Is Located a Three-hour Drive From Rockhampton And Is The Largest Town In The Central Queensland Highlands. You May Be Entitled To The Following

• Locality allowance
• Housing may be available
• 5 weeks recreation leave

What We Are Looking For (qualifications, Registrations, Experience)

There are some qualifications and licences that we see as essential. You must possess a:

• Minimum of a Diploma or Associate Diploma in Agricultural or Animal Sciences or equivalent
• A current “C” class drivers licence
• HR Truck Licence (with ability to acquire an HC Licence)
  
  
  

This role requires the ability to work in varied weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

It also requires the ability to handle and operate both traditional and technologically advanced farming equipment.
