Factory Manager

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Factory Manager to oversee daily operations and ensure compliance with all quality and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will be knowledgeable in food safety certifications and other permits required by the government, ensuring that our products consistently meet international quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all aspects of factory operations, ensuring efficient production, quality control, and timely delivery of coconut sap-based products.
• Monitor the production process and make adjustments as necessary to optimize productivity and minimize downtime.
• Implement best practices in lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency.
• Manage and maintain compliance with government regulations and permits related to food manufacturing and safety.
• Coordinate with quality assurance teams to develop and implement quality management systems (QMS) to maintain product integrity.
• Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure adherence to certification standards and company policies.
• Ensure the factory is fully compliant with all food safety standards.
• Lead, train, and develop the factory workforce, including production supervisors, maintenance teams, and support staff.
• Manage inventory levels for raw materials and finished goods to ensure uninterrupted production.
• Collaborate with procurement and logistics teams to source materials and manage supply chain processes.
• Monitor and control costs to meet budgetary requirements.
• Ensure the factory complies with occupational health and safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Food Technology, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in factory or production management, preferably in food manufacturing.
• Extensive knowledge of food safety certifications, including HACCP, BRC, Organic certifications, and relevant government regulations.
• Proven experience in managing factory operations, with a strong focus on production efficiency, quality control, and compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership skills with experience in training, developing, and managing teams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Strong understanding of lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

Key Certifications and Skills:

• HACCP Certification
• BRC Certification
• Knowledge of organic product standards
• Familiarity with ISO standards related to food safety and quality
• Knowledge of government permits and regulatory requirements for food manufacturing
• Strong leadership and operational management skills
