Equipment Technician II

Job Description

I. Basic Purpose of the Job

• Responsible for directly maintaining the up-time condition of the production equipment to optimize machine utilization. Responsible for ensuring the accomplishment of the following common goals: productivity, product quality, yield, cycle time, and providing a safe and environmentally sound workplace .

• The position reports to the Equipment Engineer
  
  

Responsibilities

III. Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Accomplishes and implements correct Total Productive Maintenance / Calibration activities on all production equipment and test measuring devices.
• Troubleshoots and performs permanent corrective maintenance on equipment while observing minimum downtime.
• Experience in board repair, circuit troubleshooting, and circuit analysis.
• Strong Knowledge of electronic principles and applications, troubleshooting tools, and failure prevention.
• Can read and interpret electrical & electronic diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Hands-on experience in hydraulics, servomotors, pumps, sensors, motor controls, Electro-pneumatics, and PLC.
• Proper use of hand tools, measuring and calibration instruments
• Feedback and inform Team Leaders of pertinent information regarding equipment condition, spare parts availability, and other maintenance matters.
• Responsible for maximizing utilization of spare time in a productive way such as helping operators in their job functions.
• Formulates/updates troubleshooting guide on specific recurring equipment problems.
• Supports the company’s Planned Maintenance Program
  
  

Qualifications

IV. Job Specifications

• Education
  
  

Must be a Graduate of Technical Courses/Technology Graduates preferably in Electronics, Mechatronics, or Electrical Courses

• Experience
  
  

Experience in the manufacturing process is an advantage

Must be proficient in Basic Electronics and Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

• at least 8 years of experience in a Manufacturing concern, preferably in the Semiconductor or Electronics industry.
• Skills
  
  

Excellent interpersonal skills, resilient, adaptable, trainable, and can coordinate effectively with cross-functional team

Flexible and must have a strong multitasking, problem-solving, and time management skills and is adaptable to dynamic changes in the organization.
