Role Overview

Kepler is seeking an experienced Lead DevOps/Cloud Engineer to architect, implement, and maintain our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines.

The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Kubernetes, Terraform, and AWS services, with a strong background in automation and infrastructure as code. This role offers the opportunity to lead a talented team while building scalable, secure, and resilient cloud solutions that support our growing platform.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership & Management: Lead and mentor a team of DevOps Engineers (prior experience leading teams of up to 10 people and 6 years of management experience preferred). Plan, set the direction for the team, assign tasks, gather updates, and report results to Solutions Architects/management.
• CI/CD Automation: Design, implement, and maintain advanced CI/CD pipelines (6 years of experience) using tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Bamboo.
• Containerization & Orchestration: Expertly manage container and orchestration technologies, including Docker (6 years of experience) and Kubernetes/EKS (4 years of EKS experience). Implement GitOps workflows using tools like ArgoCD.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Create and manage infrastructure using Terraform (4 years of experience) for provisioning and managing AWS resources (6 years of AWS experience).
• Cloud Environment Management: Deep experience with AWS services including EKS (4 yrs), ECS (2 yrs), ECR (6 yrs), and EC2 (4 yrs). Familiarity with Azure environments is also required
• Development & Scripting: Utilize scripting for automation (4 years of experience) using BASH and Python. Leverage strong development background, especially in C# (10 years of experience) and .Net technologies, for development support and platform maintenance.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years in a dedicated DevOps/Cloud Engineer role; 6+ years in a supervisory/lead capacity.
• Expert Tools: Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, Terraform, ArgoCD.
• Cloud: Extensive experience with AWS; familiarity with Azure is a plus.
• CI/CD: Proficiency with multiple CI/CD platforms (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
