Roles And Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 2 technical support for RedEarth's battery systems, including off-grid, hybrid, and grid-connected solutions.
  • Assist installers and customers with system commissioning, configuration, and troubleshooting via phone, email, and remote diagnostics.
  • Interpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and installation manuals to guide safe and compliant system setup.
  • Configure and monitor systems using RedEarth's proprietary platforms and third-party tools (e.g., Troppo, Pylontech, Victron, Selectronic, Deye, Sungrow, etc.).
  • Diagnose and resolve faults related to battery performance, inverter behavior, firmware updates, and communication protocols.
  • Document support cases and resolutions in CRM systems for traceability and improvement.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to escalate complex issues and contribute to product refinement.
  • Stay up to date with industry standards, WHS regulations, and Clean Energy Council guidelines.
  • Deliver product-specific training and guidance to installers and end-users.
  • Support warranty claims and service logistics, coordinating with the Warranty Officer.


Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) industry.
  • Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role within energy storage, solar PV, DER, or related industries.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent field.
  • Must hold an Unrestricted Electrical Licence.


A Successful Candidate Must Have

  • Completion of accredited Battery Storage Training such as UEERE0077, UEERE0078, or UEERE0060 (or equivalent).
  • Certification in LV grid-connected photovoltaic (PV) system design and installation is an advantage.


Proficient With

  • Monitoring and diagnostic tools for real-world data analysis.
  • CRM systems and reporting tools for documenting support cases.


Experience Advantage

  • Understanding of IT networks and communication protocols.
  • Strong ability to write application notes, technical instructions, and knowledge base materials.
