What you’ll do:
As an Electrical Designer, you’ll be responsible for producing detailed electrical drawings and plans for substations and other infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and design excellence.

As an Electrical Designer, you’ll be responsible for producing detailed electrical drawings and plans for substations and other infrastructure projects. You’ll work closely with engineers and project teams to ensure accuracy, compliance, and design excellence.
Key responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed electrical schematics, diagrams and layout drawings
- Perform CAD drafting using AutoCAD/Microstation on distribution, switchboards, control panels and other panels
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers and construction teams to ensure that designs are feasible and meet project requirements
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes and regulations
- Review and revise drawings to ensure accuracy and adherence to project specifications and standards
- Promote safety practices in all aspects of design and documentation.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in the consulting industry
- A degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related field
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microstation (preferred)
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and drafting standards
- Strong communication skills that allow close coordination with the other disciplines
