EHS Engineer

Job Description

Job Description:

• Ensure company’s compliance to applicable environmental, health and safety laws/regulations and other requirements.
• Manages environmental programs such as waste management including hazardous wastes, pollution prevention and protection of the environment.
• Manages safety culture program such as awareness, handling and improvement of safety indicators, among others.
• Provides technical assistance in completing reports and permit applications for government agencies, internal and external customers.
• Establishes and implements safety compliance programs thereby promoting a safe and healthful work practices for the protection of personnel, physical assets and production operations.
• Establishes and implements full scope industrial hygiene programs to prevent occupational disease.
• Interfaces with management at all levels regarding environment, health and safety evaluations and control methods.
• Conducts EHS buy-offs, audits/inspections, and workplace surveys.
• Performs liaison work with the government agencies, secures government permits and prepares required reports.
• Ensures execution of EHS required trainings and awareness programs
• Suggest and implement continuous improvement including optimization of plans and programs.
• Support EHS Site Leader to drive compliance of all departments.
• Perform such other duties that may be assigned from time to time by his/her supervisor.
  
  

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering or Physical Sciences Degree or Environmental or Safety Engineering Courses
• At least Safety Officer 2
  
  

Experience

• At least 2 years’ experience in semiconductor manufacturing or related industry
  
  

Skills

• Knowledge in ISO 14001/ISO45001 Standards and RBA Requirements.
• Basic understanding of safety engineering requirements for electrical, mechanical, chemical, and physical hazards.
• Basic knowledge of environmental, safety and industrial hygiene regulations and policies.
• Has the ability to participate in a cross-functional team environment, effective analytical and problem-solving skills.
